The Autodesk Knowledge Network team preparing to launch a high-traffic, high-visibility Drupal site to 'help' end-users of Autodesk products and services; providing learning, technical support, customer service through an innovative content-rich web site using a federated content model with community-based features.
The initial launch version of the site is being built in partnership with Workhabit and Acquia and will be hosted on Acquia's cloud. Now we want to continue to grow the team internally that can take the site forward and evolve and innovate the customer experience. Our team believes in open source; uses it for almost everything we do; and is driving an initiative to release most of the content on the site under Creative Commons.
This will be a really big leap forward for Autodesk customers and is part of a strategic initiative for the company for which are are rapidly hiring a new team. In addition to the web site, our team is responsible for various 'help' features that tie directly into the products to enable users to easily find and share answers about how to get things done.
We have a highly-collaborative team located in a premier location in San Francisco and are looking for a few good people to fill a number of types of openings. We have has the benefits of a stable global company, with a flavor and creativity of a 'startup' team.
One of the key positions is a Sr. Drupal Developer opening. For the right person this is a great opportunity for a stable job 'owning' a major customer-facing web presence based on the Drupal platform and evolving it to better serve some vital customer and business needs. This will include globalizing it and continuing to add more sophisticated content features and functionality, and more community interaction, to serve Autodesk business needs. We're also looking at a strategy for 'satellite' sites based on a distribution.
